Expanding the iconic Belisar collection with an elegant black release
Union Glashütte is a distinguished German brand under the Swatch Group renowned for its high-quality mechanical timepieces that embody precision engineering and a rich heritage of craftsmanship. The brand is particularly recognized for its sporty chronographs and offers a diverse range of collections that appeal to both classic and modern tastes. Among its iconic models, the Belisar stands out as a versatile and sophisticated line. Now, Union Glashütte expands this collection with the new Belisar Chronograph Sport, featuring a sleek black aesthetic.
The watch features a 316L stainless steel case, the only grade of steel used by Union Glashütte, renowned for its anti-corrosion properties. The case measures 43mm in diameter and 14.7mm in thickness and is equipped with a black ceramic bezel featuring a tachymeter scale, along with black DLC-coated case band. The dial is topped with a curved sapphire crystal that has an anti-reflective coating. Additionally, the watch includes three pushers: two for chronograph functions located at 2 and 4 o'clock, and one at 10 o'clock for the date adjustment.

The black dial showcases a striking horizontal pattern, with indices and skeletonized hands coated in Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility. A vibrant yellow accents adorns the chronograph hands, adding a distinctive touch. The dial also features a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o'clock, a 12-hour counter with an integrated date window at 6 o'clock, and a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock.
Under the sapphire crystal caseback lies the UNG-27.S1 caliber, an automatic movement with a cam-operated chronograph. It features a silicon balance spring, enhancing resistance to magnetic fields, temperature fluctuations, and shocks. The movement provides a power reserve of at least 65 hours and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).
