A sporty piece with a gray dial and beautiful red accents
Union Glashütte embodies German watchmaking, carrying forward its heritage of over 130 years with a dedication to producing high-quality, aesthetically pleasing timepieces. Among its iconic releases, the Belisar Chronograph collection has garnered acclaim, particularly this year with models inspired by the world of racing, such as the “Silvretta Classic 2024”. Now, Union Glashütte is expanding this collection with the Belisar Chronograph Speedster 2024, a watch inspired by a vehicle whose striking paintwork is beautifully reflected in the dial's design with captivating red accents.
The stainless steel case features a classic round shape with a combination of brushed and polished surfaces, measuring 44 mm in diameter and 15 mm in thickness. The dial is safeguarded by a domed sapphire crystal, treated with a non-reflective coating on both faces for exceptional clarity and durability. Additionally, the watch is equipped with a screw-down case-back with sapphire crystal and a date corrector pusher conveniently positioned at 10 o’clock.

The gray dial, accented with striking red highlights, draws its inspiration directly from the tones of the car, including the asphalt gray of the body and the deep black of the tires. It features two black subdials: a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, complemented by a matching black date window. The small seconds sub-dial is positioned at 9 o’clock, and is finished in gray to match the dial. The standout detail, however, is the bold red stripe running down the left side of the dial, perfectly mirroring the vibrant colors of the racing car and enhancing the overall aesthetic.
The watch is powered by the UNG-27.S1 caliber, an automatic movement based on the ETA/Valjoux 7753. It features a silicon balance spring, operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz), and offers a 65-hour power reserve. The timepiece is available with both a black calfskin leather strap and a red rubber strap. It is limited to just 388 pieces and priced at EUR 3,350, approximately AED 13,000.
