Introducing The New H. Moser & Cie Pioneer Spiced Aqua Collection

Three releases in bold and summer inspired hues

When H. Moser & Cie. re-launched on the modern haute horlogerie scene in 2005, it didn’t take long for the brand to stand out. The Swiss watchmaker built its name on a bold philosophy, combining mechanical mastery with a contemporary approach to design, exemplified by minimalist dials stripped of logos and indices.

The brand’s latest release takes that daring spirit a step further with the new Pioneer Spiced Aqua Collection. Comprising three timepieces, this vibrant trio pushes the Pioneer line into bolder territory, both aesthetically and technically. As the name suggests, the collection thrives on contrast: vivid turquoise and punchy orange dominate the visuals, resulting in what might be Moser’s most audacious colour palette yet.

Pioneer Centre Seconds Spiced Aqua

The first watch in the trio is the Pioneer Centre Seconds Spiced Aqua. It features a 42.8mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 12mm and comes in two versions, classic steel or a bold black DLC-coated finish. Both versions offer 120 metres of water resistance, thanks to a screw-down crown and a sapphire crystal caseback.

The dial comes in a turquoise fumé gradient, free of logos and indices, allowing the craftsmanship and colour to take centre stage. Surrounding it is an orange flange treated with Super-LumiNova, which also coats the hands for enhanced legibility and a touch of fun in low-light conditions.

Inside, the automatic calibre HMC 201 beats at 3Hz and delivers a 72-hour power reserve. The steel version is paired with a crisp white rubber strap, while the black DLC model comes with a vibrant orange strap. Prices start at CHF 14,500 (≈ AED 65,200) for the steel version and CHF 16,000 (≈ AED 72,000) for the black edition.

Pioneer Tourbillon Spiced Aqua

Next is the Pioneer Tourbillon Spiced Aqua, slightly scaled down to a 40mm stainless steel case while maintaining the same 120-metre water resistance. This version inverts the colour scheme, featuring a vivid orange fumé dial framed by a turquoise Super-LumiNova flange.

Like its sibling, the dial stays true to the Concept aesthetic, no indices, no logo, but this time, the star attraction is the flying tourbillon prominently placed at 6 o’clock. Powering it is Moser’s automatic calibre HMC 805, featuring a double hairspring, 3Hz frequency, and a 72-hour power reserve. It comes fitted with a turquoise rubber strap and is priced at CHF 49,900 (≈ AED 224,500).

Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Spiced Aqua

Rounding out the collection is the Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Spiced Aqua, the most technically intricate of the trio. Housed in a 42.8mm stainless steel case with a height of 15.3mm due to its dramatically domed sapphire crystal, it still manages to offer 120 metres of water resistance.

The dial is largely skeletonised, revealing the intricate movement within. A domed orange fumé sub-dial at 12 o’clock features turquoise Globolight indices and matching hands, while the signature flying tourbillon with cylindrical hairspring rotates below.

Powering the watch is the automatic calibre HMC 811, which offers a 74-hour power reserve and runs at 3Hz. It comes on a turquoise rubber strap and is priced at CHF 79,000 (≈ AED 355,200).
