The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing The Latest Addition to the Scuba Fifty Fathoms Collection: Blue Lagoon

Swatch and Blancpain Continue Their Collaboration with a New Blue Release

It seems the Scuba Fifty editions are far from reaching their conclusion, as Swatch unveils a new addition to the lineup following last year’s releases. After generating significant buzz among watch collectors, Blancpain and Swatch have revealed another exciting piece in their collaborative series, more than a year after their initial partnership debut.

Staying true to the collection's oceanic naming tradition, this latest reference draws inspiration from tropical seas. While the initial releases celebrated the five Earth oceans and a subsequent edition ventured into the lunar mare Oceanus Procellarum, this new iteration returns to Earth, offering a vibrant tribute to the colorful allure of tropical waters.

This Blancpain X Swatch watch pays homage to Blancpain’s iconic Fifty Fathoms. The case and crown are crafted from blue Bioceramic material, with the word “Swatch” engraved on the left side of the case. Consistent with the previous editions, the watch measures 42.3 mm in diameter and 14.4 mm in thickness.

The dial features a striking blue sunbrushed finish, mimicking the interplay of sunlight on water surfaces. It includes a date indicator positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock. The hour markers, hour and minute hands, and bezel scale are coated with Grade A Super-LumiNova® for exceptional legibility in low-light conditions. The unidirectional rotating black Bioceramic bezel and biosourced glass are treated with an anti-scratch coating, ensuring durability.

The SISTEM51 mechanical movement is visible through a transparent sapphire case back, which also showcases a digital print illustration of a lagoon and the Tambja Mullineri nudibranch, a colorful sea slug. Five motivational inscriptions are engraved on the case back: PASSION FOR DIVING, LICENCE TO EXPLORE, OCEAN BREATH, PROTECT WHAT YOU LOVE, and IMMERSE YOURSELF.

The caliber, composed of just 51 parts and secured by a single central screw, offers a 90-hour power reserve and features an anti-magnetic Nivachron hairspring for enhanced performance.

The watch is paired with a blue NATO strap featuring white and black stripes that complement its overall color scheme. The pin buckle and loops are crafted from Bioceramic material, maintaining the cohesive design. Like its predecessors, this upcoming timepiece is priced at $400 USD, equivalent to AED 1,400.
