The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Frederique Constant is a Swiss watchmaker that has been creating Swiss-made watches since 1988. The brand is based in Geneva, Switzerland and is renowned for its high-quality classical watches at sensible prices. Despite being relatively young in the industry, having been making watches for 35 years, Frederique Constant has gained recognition for its accomplishments and its watch designs. 

Frederique Constant is known for its wide range of watch movements used in its timepieces. The brand introduced a monolithic movement with 288,000 vibrations per hour. This innovative design replaces the 26 components of its standard assortment with a single component fitted with two regulation weights that are made of monocrystalline silicon. Now, introducing the latest collection from Frederique Constant in collaboration with the renowned La Joux-Perret, featuring a powerful movement. The G100 movement powers the new Frederique Constant Classics Premiere Collection.

La Joux-Perret is a Swiss watch movement manufacturer that is owned by Citizen of Japan since 2012. Specializing in crafting high-quality movements, La Joux-Perret has made significant contributions to the watchmaking industry. The G100 movement by La Joux-Perret was introduced in 2021, and has garnered attention as a pragmatic alternative to ETA movements. 

 

 

As for the specification, the case of each timepiece in the collection boasts a 38.50mm diameter and a slim 10.67mm thickness, crafted from either stainless steel or rose gold-plated stainless steel, the polished case exudes a luxurious aesthetic. The domed sapphire crystal is adorned with an anti-reflective coating, while the caseback is secured by four screws, and features a sapphire crystal, providing a glimpse into the inner workings of the watch. 

The dial comes in either silver or dark gray, featuring Breguet-style hands and a sunray chapter ring surrounding the embossed decorated center, with applied Roman numerals that are also surrounded by a railroad minute track. At the heart of these timepieces lies the Caliber FC-301, based on the La Joux-Perret LJPG100. This automatic movement, measuring 25.6mm x 4.45mm, and operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz), with a power reserve of 68 hours, with Côtes de Genève pattern enhancing the movement aesthetics.

 

 

The Classics Premiere Collection comes with a black calf leather strap featuring a crocodile pattern, with a steel or gold-plated pin buckle, ensuring both comfort and style. Each version of this Collection is limited to 500 pieces. The steel variant is priced at EUR 1,700 which is equivalent to AED 6,900, while the gold-plated version is priced at EUR 2,000 which is equivalent to AED 8,100.
