Introducing The Breitling Middle East Exclusive Chronomat GMT 40
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
A limited edition with a beautiful green dial and elegant gold touches
Breitling has carved out a legacy as one of Switzerland’s most influential watchmakers, known for inventing modern chronographs and shaping the evolution of aviation tool watches. The Chronomat collection is one of the brand’s icons. First released in 1983 through a collaboration with Italy’s Frecce Tricolori aerobatic team, it marked the return of mechanical chronographs at a time when quartz movements were dominating the market.
In recent years, Breitling has strengthened its ties with the Middle East, celebrating the region’s vibrant culture through exclusive releases in teal, black, and special UAE editions featuring ice blue and bright blue dials. The latest addition is a striking new Chronomat GMT in green, a 100-piece limited edition crafted exclusively for the Middle East.
This watch features a 40mm stainless steel case with a cambered sapphire crystal treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides. It measures 11.77mm thick with a lug-to-lug span of 47.4mm. Signature Chronomat elements include the onion-shaped crown and unidirectional ratcheted bezel in stainless steel. A solid screwed caseback ensures durability, and the watch is water-resistant to 200 meters.
The sunray green dial is enhanced with 18k red gold-plated Eastern Arabic numerals. Matching gold-plated hour and minute hands filled with Super-LumiNova ensure legibility in low light. A red GMT hand with a luminous arrow tip tracks a second time zone via the 24-hour scale, while a date window at 6 o’clock maintains a balanced layout.
Powering the watch is the COSC-certified Breitling Caliber 32, based on the ETA 2893-2. This self-winding mechanical movement beats at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivers a power reserve of 42 hours. The watch is paired with a stainless steel rouleaux bracelet secured by a folding clasp. Limited to just 100 pieces, it is priced at AED 27,120.
