A partnership presented by Al-Muftah Jewellery and the Doha Watch Club to honor Qatari culture
Oris is an independent company that distinguishes itself by manufacturing its own watch movements in-house. Founded in 1904, the company offers a range of affordable, high-quality models. With ongoing innovation and fruitful partnerships with environmental and sporting organizations, Oris recently collaborated with the Doha Watch Club and its Qatari agent, Al Muftah Jewellery. This partnership has resulted in the release of a new watch celebrating Qatari heritage, the Oris Doha Watch from the Big Crown collection.
The 40mm stainless steel case combines durability and elegance, featuring a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on both the dial and case back for exceptional clarity in any lighting. Designed for practicality, it includes a robust screw-in security crown and offers water resistance up to 50 meters, making it an ideal choice for both everyday wear and adventurous outings.
The watch showcases a blue dial with a black gradient along the edges, adorned with Eastern Arabic numerals at 12, 3, and 9 o’clock, along with the Oris brand name in Arabic calligraphy. The dial's color beautifully reflects the sea surrounding the Qatar peninsula. This special edition also features a small seconds display at 6 o’clock in a train track shape, enhancing the design's balance and harmony. A minute track is printed around the dial's perimeter for easy reading, while the hour and minute hands are coated with Super-LumiNova for visibility in low-light conditions.
It's powered by the Oris Calibre 401, an in-house automatic movement celebrated for its remarkable anti-magnetic properties and precision accuracy, ensuring a deviation of only -3/+5 seconds per day. With a robust power reserve of 120 hours equivalent to five days. This movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz), offering reliability.
The watch includes two leather straps one in black and the other in brown and is a limited edition of only 50 pieces at a price of QAR 10,700
