Louis Ferla to Lead Cartier, Catherine Rénier to Head Van Cleef & Arpels Starting September 2024
Richemont has announced significant leadership changes. Louis Ferla, currently the CEO of Vacheron Constantin, will succeed Cyrille Vigneron as the CEO of Cartier starting September 1, 2024. On the same date, Catherine Rénier, currently the CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre, will take over as CEO of Van Cleef & Arpels from Nicolas Bos, who was recently appointed CEO of the Richemont Group, replacing Jérôme Lambert.
Richemont has confirmed that Louis Ferla, the current Chief Executive Officer of Vacheron Constantin, will succeed Cyrille Vigneron as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cartier, effective September 1, 2024. Vigneron, who has led Cartier successfully for eight years, will retire and assume the position of Chairman of Cartier Culture & Philanthropy. He will work with Ferla to ensure a smooth transition.
Louis Ferla, a French national, joined Richemont in 2001 and has held various positions within the company. He has served as the CEO of Vacheron Constantin since 2017.
Catherine Rénier
In a related announcement, Catherine Rénier, currently the Chief Executive Officer of Jaeger-LeCoultre, will succeed Nicolas Bos as the CEO of Van Cleef & Arpels, effective September 1, 2024. Rénier will report to Bos, who became CEO of Richemont on June 1.
With these changes, Philippe Hermann, the Chief Financial Officer of Jaeger-LeCoultre, will serve as interim CEO until a new CEO is appointed. Richemont has not yet announced who will step in as interim CEO at Vacheron Constantin following Ferla's departure.
