The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Louis Erard Le Régulateur X Olivier Mosset

Dark blackness and mystery, the Swiss artist brings his style to the world of watches

It seems that the design of Louis Erard’s Regulator watches tempts everyone to add their own touch to them, as we have previously seen many distinctive designs in this collection, starting with a trio of colorful geometric shapes from “ Alain Silberstein” and a giant monster that devours time designed by the Russian manufacturer “Konstantin Chaykin" This time with a design, and as usual, the company departs from the norm and offers a distinctive watch. In the complete absence of logos and writings, Louis Erard ventured forth and seamlessly blended the world of fine watchmaking with contemporary art. Embarking on an exciting collaboration with Swiss abstract artist Olivier Musset, the result was a charming black-on-black watch decorated with dazzling silver inlays. This collaboration between watchmaking tradition and artistic rebellion is what Olivier Musset, the 79-year-old Swiss artist, is known for.

The watch comes in a black PVD coated stainless steel case, measuring 42mm in diameter and 12.25mm thick, displaying an elegant dark finish. The case back is also made of black sapphire crystal, complementing the mysterious design while the phrase Limited edition of 178 pieces is engraved.

The dial is a mysterious artistic painting that summarizes Olivier Musset's artistic vision. Inspired by street culture, where the design and color of the dial came from his passion for motorcycles and cars, upon which he based most of his work, the artist skillfully transforms these elements into sculptural forms. In this watch, the dial evokes the essence of a car body, finished with a metallic paint. The attractive contrast of the mysterious black dial is enhanced by the luster of silver.

The clock's three hands are a study in simplicity and regularity, taking the shape of a baton. All hands are of the same length, width and rounded tips, creating a harmonious visual rhythm. However, a slight difference appears in the size of the hole that determines the direction, a simple touch that acts as a reference point, ensuring the clarity of the time display.

This watch offers a geometric and minimalist reinterpretation of the regulator's style. The three hands are mechanically isolated, each hand rotating on a separate axis, with the minutes in the middle, the hours at the top, and the seconds at the bottom, which contributes to providing a sophisticated and distinctive timekeeping experience.

The movement is powered by an automatic Sellita SW266-1, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and boasting a 38-hour power reserve. Crafted as a masterpiece, each of the 178 timepieces is accompanied by a distinctive red seal, boldly stating "work of art – do not wear." Complementing the case are two interchangeable bracelets, with one personally signed by the artist. The price for this exceptional creation is CHF 3,750, equivalent to 16,000 AED.
