The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Atelier Oï

A collaboration between two Swiss companies, resulting in a unique design for the regulator timepiece

The collaboration between Louis Erard, the Swiss watch brand and atelier oï, one of Switzerland’s most renowned design studios, has given birth to a new interpretation of Le Régulateur Louis Erard x atelier Oï unveiled in Milan in shades of gold and blue that reflect the creativity of both houses.

Louis Erard's Regulator design has consistently served as the canvas for remarkable collaborations, as exemplified by the Le Régulateur X Olivier Mosset, renowned for its striking black aesthetic.

Louis Erard sought the expertise of atelier oï to rethink their iconic model, the Regulator, with the aim of bringing together key players in watchmaking tradition and Swiss craftsmanship. This collaboration transcends the strict domain of watchmaking, as atelier oï excels in architecture and design as well. This invitation stems not only from close professional ties but also from a friendly relationship dating back to the 1990s, illustrated by the career path of Manuel Emch, current CEO of Louis Erard, who began his career with an internship at atelier oï.

Over three decades, atelier oï has become a global reference in its field, garnering numerous accolades that underscore its unique character. The name "oï" is borrowed from the Russian "Troïka," symbolizing the energy of a trio, namely the three co-founders, Aurel Aebi, Armand Louis, and Patrick Reymond.

The watch comes in a polished stainless steel case, measuring 42mm in diameter and 12.25mm thick, displaying an elegant mirror finish. Topped by a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. The case back is also made of sapphire crystal, complementing the mysterious design, while the phrase 'Limited edition of 18 pieces' is engraved.

The dial is a mysterious artistic design by Atelier Oï, reflecting their unique artistic identity. It is made of Golden 2N, featuring both matte and polished finishes, with 60 planed lines marking the minutes. giving the two-dimensional dial the depth of a radiant architecture. A pure work of art, which nothing can break, indices or not even the Louis Erard logo.

The watch's three hands embody simplicity of regulator design, taking the shape of batons, all of which are blued.

This watch offers a geometric and minimalist reinterpretation of the regulator style. The three hands are mechanically isolated, each rotating on a separate axis, with the minutes in the center, the hours at the top, and the seconds at the bottom. This contributes to providing a sophisticated and distinctive timekeeping experience.

The watch is powered by an automatic Sellita SW266-1, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and boasting a 38-hour power reserve. openworked oscillating weight with black lacquered Louis Erard symbol. Crafted as a masterpiece, each of the 18 timepieces is accompanied by a Grained blue calfskin leather strap and a stainless stail buckle. The price for this exceptional creation is CHF 3,750, equivalent to 16,000 AED.
