The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing IWC Unveils The Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Top Gun Woodland

The Timezoner Top Gun in a ceramic case for the first time

The Pilot's Watch collection is one of IWC's most iconic and recognizable lines. These watches are inspired by aviation and are characterized by their robust designs and practical features.

Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Chronograph

In Watch and Wonders 2016, IWC introduced the “Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Chronograph” as the world's first timepiece that allows users to adjust to a new time zone using just the bezel, with hour hand, 24-hour display, and date all seamlessly synchronized and adjusted automatically, offering a practical approach to the world of watchmaking.

Timezoner Spitfire Edition 'The Longest Flight'

Three years later, and during the "Watch and Wonders" event, the brand unveiled the "Timezoner Spitfire Edition 'The Longest Flight'," a limited edition of 250 pieces. This exceptional creation drew its inspiration from the cockpit of the Silver Spitfire, which was a part of the "Longest Flight" project. It was designed to support both pilots, Matt Jones and Steve Boultbee, as they embarked on their historic global journey aboard a Spitfire aircraft. This timepiece represents an evolution of the 2016 model, shedding the chronograph function to replace it with a simple arched window that showcases the 24 hour ring, prioritizing a balanced and legible dial that revolves around the world time display.

This year, IWC introduces the “Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Top Gun Woodland '' in a striking dark green hue, as it marks the brands first Timezoner in a ceramic case. The case measures 46mm in diameter and  15 mm in height, with a bi directional rotating bezel that allows you to switch between time zones by rotating the bezel that features every major city, until the desired time zone aligns with the 12 o’clock position. Subsequently, the hour hand and the 24-hour display will adjust by moving the crown in one-hour increments in either a forward or backward direction.

Developed in collaboration with Pantone, a leading source of color expertise. The Woodland ceramic color draws its inspiration from the uniforms and flight suits of naval aviators, as well as the expansive forest landscapes they navigate. Adding to the watch's resilience and innovation, the case back ring and the crown are crafted from Ceratanium. This IWC-developed material marries the structural integrity of titanium with the hardness and scratch resistance reminiscent of ceramic, ensuring a timepiece that is as durable as it is visually captivating.

The dark green color is also a feature in the dial, with minute markings, arabic indices, and hands that are filled with light green super-luminova. Under 12 o’clock you can spot the arched window that displays the 24-hour ring, and the date window that is positioned at 3 o'clock alongside the brand’s logo that is positioned at 9 o'clock .

Under the sapphire lies the in-house caliber 82760, an automatic with Pellaton winding system, that uses movements of the rotor in both directions to wind the mainspring. The movement operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz), and offers 60 hours of power reserve, with a rotor that features an 18k gold medallion. The watch is paired with a green rubber strap and secured by a pin buckle, with a price of CHF 18,000 which is equivalent to AED 67,000.
