The brand’s first fully skeletonized watch marks a bold step in its revival
Favre Leuba, founded in 1737, is one of Switzerland’s oldest watchmakers, carrying nearly three centuries of horological expertise. Over its long history, the brand became renowned for pioneering designs and technical innovations.
After making a strong comeback last year, Favre Leuba reintroduced several references across three key collections. The revival began with the Chief Chronograph, Chief Date, and Deep Blue. Earlier this year, Favre Leuba unveiled its first-ever tourbillon, marking a bold new chapter. At Geneva Watch Days 2025, the brand continues its momentum with another milestone, the Chief Skeleton, the very first fully skeletonized timepiece in its history.
The Chief Collection, with its bold cushion-shaped case inspired by 1970s design, has become one of the brand’s defining signatures. The new Chief Skeleton builds on this heritage, reinterpreting the classic form in a thoroughly modern execution.

The Chief Skeleton is presented in a 40 mm cushion-shaped case crafted from 316L stainless steel, available either in brushed and polished steel or with a black DLC-coated finish. Measuring just 11.76 mm in thickness, with a lug-to-lug length of 47.59 mm and a 22 mm lug width, it offers a well-proportioned and comfortable presence on the wrist. A curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating ensures clear visibility, while the sapphire caseback reveals the openworked movement. Water resistance is rated at 100 meters.
The skeletonized dial showcases the movement architecture, with bridges, gears, and apertures forming an intricate display. Applied rhodium-plated indices and blue-emission Super-LumiNova enhance legibility, complemented by rhodium-plated hour and minute hands accented with sandblasted grooves.
Powering the watch is Favre Leuba’s exclusive automatic movement, available in two versions, the FLS01 with gold-finished bridges and the FLS02 with black chrome bridges. Both feature meticulous decoration, including snailing, brushing, and sandblasting. The semi-exposed mainspring barrel sits at 12 o’clock, while the balance wheel is positioned at 6 o’clock beneath a custom horizontally brushed bridge. The calibre beats at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivers a 41-hour power reserve. On the reverse, the skeletonized rotor engraved with the Favre Leuba wordmark is visible, finished in gold-tone for the steel model and black chrome for the DLC-coated variant.
Each watch is fitted with an integrated FKM rubber strap equipped with a quick-change system. The steel model is available with green, blue, or black accents, while the black version with anthracite movement offers a fourth option featuring an ice-blue minute track.
The Chief Skeleton joins the permanent collection, priced at CHF 3,450 (approx. AED 15,800) for the steel version and CHF 3,550 (approx. AED 16,300) for the black version.
