An Open-worked dial inspired by palm trees reveals the intricacies of the movement
Cyrus, the Swiss luxury watch brand, has been recognized since its inception in 2010 for its independence and in-house movement creation, crafted by the renowned watchmaker Jean-François Mojon. Over the years, the brand has introduced a range of timepieces with distinctive features, including tourbillons and unique functions such as alarms, setting itself apart in the world of fine watchmaking. Today, the brand unveils its latest release the “DOMINION GMT”. This new model, available in two different material variations, introduces a fresh case design, distinguishing it from the previous bold shapes that have defined Cyrus’ identity.
The DOMINION GMT comes in a new round case design, combining a polished and brushed finish for a refined yet modern aesthetic. The case is available in two material options, 18-carat 5N rose gold with grade 5 titanium inserts on the lugs, or entirely in grade 5 titanium, offering both luxury and durability.

With a diameter of 42 mm and a thickness of 16.13 mm, the case provides a substantial yet comfortable presence on the wrist. The watch is equipped with two crowns: one at the 3 o'clock position for winding the movement and adjusting the time, and one at the 9 o'clock position to adjust the local time hand with a simple press of the pusher. Both crowns feature a polished and satin finish with slanted grooves, and the Cyrus logo is engraved for added detail.
The sapphire crystal on both the dial and case back is anti-reflective, enhancing readability, while the case is water-resistant up to 100 meters, making it suitable for everyday wear and light water activities.
The watch features a three-dimensional dial. The upper bridge is openworked in the shape of a palm tree, treated with rose gold galvanic plating, while the matt rays with snailed finish and microbeaded profiles add texture and depth. The transparent sapphire crystal disc, which is anti-reflective, showcases luminescent Arabic numerals printed with white SuperLumiNova that emit a blue light, ensuring legibility in low light. A semi-transparent grey minute flange surrounds the dial, with luminescent five-minute indices for added clarity. The second time zone is displayed on a 24 hour track in matte opaline grey with black profiles, complemented by luminescent Arabic numerals and dots. The small seconds subdial at 6 o'clock, decorated with raised triangles and treated with a black PVD finish, also glows with luminescent markers.
Both the hour and minute hands are openworked and luminescent, treated with black PVD coating, while the small second hand is 5N rose gold-plated with a luminescent tip. Lastly, the white luminescent retrograde hand, with its triangular tip, indicates the second time zone, rounding off the dial's sophisticated design.
The watch is powered by the self-winding CYR708 manufactured movement, a meticulously crafted calibre designed for precision and durability. The movement consists of 278 components, ensuring smooth operation. Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz), the movement provides a minimum power reserve of 55 hours.
It includes a single barrel with a ratchet wheel, adorned with the Cyrus logo and black lacquer-filled inscriptions.
