The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Citizen Unveils the New Urban Military NJ0190 Editions

Entry-Level Mechanical Watches Highlighting the Japanese Group Expertise

For many of us, Citizen was likely our first watch. This renowned Japanese brand, known for its affordable timepieces, is not just a familiar name but one of the largest watch groups in the industry. Since the quartz crisis, as we previously explained, Citizen has significantly expanded its strategic portfolio. Over the years, the group has acquired prestigious Swiss brands such as Frédérique Constant and Alpina, as well as the renowned movement manufacture La Joux-Perret, alongside other watch brands like Arnold & Son.

Leveraging its extensive expertise and the heritage of the distinguished companies under its umbrella, Citizen has elevated its craftsmanship, particularly in the realm of entry-level watches. Drawing from this wealth of experience and knowledge, the brand has excelled in producing high-quality mechanical watches at accessible prices. A prime example of this is Citizen's new Urban Military collection, a sporty series featuring time-and-date-only models available in three distinctive colors.

The case is crafted from brushed and polished stainless steel, measuring 40mm in diameter with a thickness of approximately 12mm. The lug-to-lug distance is a comfortable 46.5mm. Notably, the bezel is extremely thin, and what appears to be a bezel is actually part of the dial itself. Both the dial and the case back are protected by mineral glass, while the case offers a water resistance of 100 meters.

The dial comes in three colors: silver, black, and dark green. Its brushed finish adds depth and beautiful reflections to the display. Applied hour indicessit beneath prominent Arabic numerals, while the indices, numerals, and hands are coated with white luminous material for excellent readability.

The hands are bold and easy to read, with contrasting finishes, blackened on the silver model and polished metal on the darker dials.

Surrounding the dial are two scales. The angled inner bezel features a simple 60-minute scale with numerals at 5-minute intervals, while the flat outer section includes a 60-second scale.

Powering the Urban Military collection is the Citizen Calibre 8210-C0A, an automatic mechanical movement. Beating at 3Hz, it offers a respectable 40-hour power reserve, ensuring reliable performance.

Each watch in the collection is paired with a brushed stainless steel bracelet, secured with a folding clasp equipped with safety pushers. The bracelet also features three micro-adjustment holes for a precise fit. All three models are priced at an accessible EUR 229, equivalent to AED 875.
