A new sporty look for the iconic collection, with a japanese style
The Series 8 collection from the Japanese brand Citizen offers contemporary case design with a sporty look, which is considered to be the brand’s accessible luxury collection. The Series 8 debuted in Japan in 2008; however, in 2021, the brand relaunched the Series 8 with a modern and more elegant design. These new mechanical watches combine the luxury sport watches trend with practical features made for today’s lifestyle. Now, Citizen adds three new references to the collection titled “Series 8 890 Mechanical” watch.

The trio is presented in a stainless steel case, with one of them featuring a gold coating, measuring 40.5mm in diameter and 11.7mm in thickness. The design showcases a refined finish with a blend of polished and brushed accents, an octagonal bezel, and a push-pull crown with an additional crown to set the inner bezel. Both the dial and movement are safeguarded by sapphire crystals ensuring 200m of water resistance.
The watches boast a textured dial featuring a Japanese checkered pattern in the blue version, while the gold-coated model showcases a gray hue. Additionally, a limited edition version presents a distinctive copper pink dial adorned with cherry blossom patterns. The dial also showcases applied indices and hands with luminescent properties enhancing visibility in low-light conditions. The design is further complemented by a date window positioned at 3 o'clock for added functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Furthermore, this movement features enhanced magnetic resistance, enhancing its durability and reliability in various environments. The watches come with an integrated H-shaped links steel bracelet, featuring a folding clasp with push-buttons.
