The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Zenith Re-Launches the Defy Extreme Diver in a New Colour

A professional diving watch powered by the high-frequency El Primero movement

Zenith is renowned for its high-precision in-house movements, most notably the high-frequency El Primero movement. The brand has released several watches featuring this movement, including the “Skyline Tourbillon” watch from the Defy collection. Today, we’ll review Zenith's latest release in this collection: the “Extreme Diver”, which was initially introduced in black and has now been re-released in a new color.

This timepiece features a 42.5mm diameter titanium lightweight case with a thickness of 15.5mm, finished with brushed surfaces. The black unidirectional rotating bezel is enhanced with orange-emission Super-LumiNova on the indices and numerals for excellent legibility in low-light conditions. It also boasts a screw-down crown with crown guards for added protection, while the sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment ensures clarity and scratch resistance. A sapphire crystal caseback provides a view of the movement, and the inclusion of a helium escape valve, along with an impressive 600m water resistance rating, makes it a reliable choice for professional divers and adventurers alike.

The dial of this watch features a Silver-toned sunray-patterned, which sets it apart from previous versions of the same model. It is delicately engraved with the iconic four-pointed star that distinguishes the Zenith Defy collection. The dial is further complemented by an orange rim and a black printed minute track. The large hour indices, along with the oversized hour and minute hands, are coated with SuperLumiNova in different colors for enhanced readability in low light. The central seconds hand stands out with its orange tip, while the perfectly matched date window at 3 o’clock adds to the balanced design. This combination of luminous details and sharp contrasts makes the dial not only functional but also visually striking.

The watch is powered by the Zenith El Primero 3620-SC automatic movement, a high-quality calibre derived from the iconic El Primero 3600. Operating at frequency 36,000 vph (5Hz), it delivers exceptional precision while maintaining a 60 hour power reserve. The movement Includes 218 components and features advanced technologies. Its openworked, star shaped rotor adds a striking visual element, showcasing Zenith's commitment to both technical innovation and aesthetic design.

It comes with a Black rubber strap with folding buckle and white fabric strap with pin buckle and titanium bracelet, at price EUR 11,800 equivalent to AED 47,200.
