Marking the Silvretta Classic 2025 race with a bold limited edition
Last year, the German brand Union Glashütte released the Belisar Chronograph Silvretta Classic 2024 to celebrate the Silvretta Classic rally, a popular classic car event held annually in Austria’s Montafon region, with which the brand has enjoyed a long-standing partnership. Now, Union Glashütte is unveiling the Belisar Chronograph Silvretta Classic 2025 Limited Edition to mark this year’s race.
This watch continues the Belisar line’s signature blend of robust engineering and vintage flair. Its stainless steel case measures 44mm in diameter and 15.01mm in thickness, with a mix of brushed and polished surfaces. The case features mushroom-style pushers and screwed-on flanks. A domed sapphire crystal, coated on both sides for anti-reflective properties, sits above the dial, while another sapphire crystal on the caseback helps ensure 100 meters of water resistance.
The beige dial is framed by an orange and grey minute track divided into quarters. Grey sub-dials with snailed finishing define the chronograph layout, while black PVD-coated hands filled with Super-LumiNova enhance legibility. Orange hands are reserved for the chronograph functions, and Arabic numerals in a vintage-style font complete the display, along with a large date window and the “Limitierte Edition” marking in orange beneath the logo, which is German for “Limited Edition.”
Powering the watch is the UNG-27.S1, an automatic movement derived from the Valjoux 7750. It beats at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a 65-hour power reserve. The watch comes with three easily interchangeable strap options, thanks to a quick-change spring bar system: a classic three-link stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp, a grey leather strap, and a sporty grey-and-orange NATO-style textile strap secured with a pin buckle.
Limited to just 200 numbered pieces, the Belisar Chronograph Silvretta Classic 2025 is priced at €3,450, approximately AED 14,500.
