The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Hands on The Classic and Elegant Vulcain Chronograph 1970's

Vulcain's mastery in bending vintage aesthetics with modern technology

Vulcain is a storied Swiss watchmaker that traces its origins to 1858. Renowned for its pioneering alarm watches, the brand's most iconic creation is the "Cricket." This innovative model set Vulcain apart in the world of horology. During the quartz crisis, Vulcain faced significant challenges but chose to maintain its traditional mechanical watchmaking practices rather than shifting to quartz technology.

In 2001, Vulcain made a notable comeback with the introduction of the Calibre V 21, a movement featuring an alarm and a more refined performance and precision. Since then, Vulcain has focused on reviving its historic models with a vintage-inspired aesthetic while incorporating modern technological advancements.

Today, we are looking at a beauty, a vintage chronograph with a fair price that takes its inspiration from the 1970s. This perfect stainless steel daily watch is sure to become your favorite wrist companion for any occasion.

The Chronograph 1970's measures 38mm in diameter and 12.40mm in thickness, combining a mix of brushed and polished accents that play with the light. It features a classic design, a domed sapphire crystal on top, and a pair of pump-style chronograph pushers at 2 and 4 o'clock.

The case has a closed caseback and water resistance up to 50 meters. While it is suitable for everyday use, you don't want to take it swimming.

The dials offer a variety of choices, including blue or black with silver counters, an all-black dial, a classic panda dial, a limited edition salmon dial (unfortunately sold out), and the most recent green dial with silver counters.

Each dial features a sunray finish and a classic Bicompax layout, with a printed tachymeter scale around it. The silver-colored baton hands and indices are accented with dots of Super-LumiNova.

Powering the watch is the Sellita SW510, a manual winding movement that operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a 63-hour power reserve. It comes with various leather strap options, all priced at AED 11,500.
