Inspired by the Depths of the Ocean Available in Two Case Sizes
Omega Seamaster is one of the most renowned luxury watch collections in the world, first launched in 1948. This collection is famous for its exceptional water resistance, making it the ideal choice for divers and professionals in water sports. Among the many models in the Seamaster collection, the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra stands out as a distinctive timepiece that blends elegance with practicality. First launched in 2002, the Aqua Terra was introduced as part of the Seamaster line, offering a sophisticated alternative to more traditional dive watches. While it shares the same water resistance characteristics with other Seamaster models, the Aqua Terra offers a slightly lower water resistance compared to models like the Seamaster Diver 300, with a water resistance of 150 meters. Nevertheless, its contemporary and versatile design makes it suitable not only for water activities but also for formal and everyday occasions. Omega has previously released several Aqua Terra watches in various sizes and designs, such as the "Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Black", which gained widespread admiration for its sleek design. Today, the brand unveils its latest addition to the Aqua Terra collection, the "Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Turquoise". This new model features a turquoise blue dial inspired by the ocean, and is available in two different sizes, offering a perfect fit for different preferences and styles.
The watch comes in a symmetrical stainless steel case, available in two sizes, 41mm and 38mm. The 41mm model has a case thickness of 13.3mm and a lug-to-lug measurement of 47.9mm, while the 38mm model is slightly slimmer with a thickness of 12.4mm and a lug-to-lug length of 44.9mm. Both versions are equipped with a domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides, ensuring optimal protection for the dial and movement. The screw down crown ensures a water resistance of 150 meters, the case is built to withstand various water activities, making it both stylish and practical.
The dial of the watch is a striking lacquered turquoise color, inspired by the ocean, and features a captivating black gradient effect that enhances its depth. It is adorned with faceted hands and hour indices, each treated with grey PVD and filled with white Super-Luminova for enhanced legibility in low light. The OMEGA logo and date window are also finished with a grey PVD treatment, seamlessly blending with the dial's overall design. Surrounding the indices is a minute track, printed along the edges of the dial.
Both models are powered by Omega’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer movements. The 41mm version is equipped with the Calibre 8900, offering a 60-hour power reserve, while the 38mm version uses the Calibre 8800, providing a 55-hour power reserve. Both movements are certified as Master Chronometers by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) and are resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. Additionally, both feature a free sprung-balance with a silicon balance spring, and luxury finishes, including a rhodium-plated rotor and bridges with decorative Geneva waves.
Both watches come with a polished and brushed stainless steel bracelet and Butterfly clasp, and priced at CHF 6,300 approximately equivalent to AED 27,700.
