Omega’s Timepiece inspired by the Olympic Spirit
As the world eagerly anticipates the grand spectacle of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Omega, the official Olympics timekeeper since 1932, has unveiled its new creation, the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M "Paris 2024" Special Edition. This exquisite timepiece pays tribute to the Games of the 2024 Olympiad and stands as a testament to Omega's continued dedication to precision, craftsmanship, and the spirit of athletic competition.
The Seamaster Diver 300M charms us with a new design and outstanding features. Encased in a robust 42mm stainless steel case, it exudes a blend of sportiness and elegance. OMEGA used their own touch Complementing the case is a Moonshine gold bezel Inspired by the shining moonlight in a dark blue sky. Moonshine Gold is a term used to describe a particular type of gold alloy found in some Omega watches, specifically within the Speedmaster Moonwatch collection. This alloy is known for its distinctive pale hue and is used in the creation of certain timepieces by Omega. The watch also features a laser-structured diving scale, adding a touch of luxury to the timepiece . The white ceramic dial, adorned with polished waves, symbolizes the essence of the ocean, a fitting homage to the world of water sports at the Olympics.
This timepiece is equipped with an impressive Caliber Omega 8800, which is a Co-Axial Master Chronometer with a 55-hour power reserve, ensuring reliability. The mechanism boasts anti-magnetic properties, allowing it to perform flawlessly even in challenging environments, making it an ideal companion for athletes and adventurers alike.
The Caliber Omega 8800 is a significant achievement for Omega and sets a new standard for modern calibers. It has undergone rigorous testing and certification processes to achieve Master Chronometer status approved by METAS. This means the movement is tested twice for accuracy, precision, and reliability, surpassing the COSC certification standards. Conversely, the commemorative stainless steel caseback of the watch features OMEGA's patented NAIAD LOCK. It also showcases a stamped medallion in 18K Moonshine Gold, displaying the mirror-polished and frosted Paris 2024 logo, as well as the words "Paris 2024" and the Olympic Rings, which are mirror-polished against a frosted backdrop.
Ingeniously positioned on the back of the Seamaster Diver 300M Paris 2024 Edition are discreet pushers, nestled on the inner side of the lugs. This introduces the innovative and patented Quick Change System, a pioneering technology that allows owners to seamlessly transition between the included stainless steel bracelet and a Quick Change rubber strap, available in a palette of captivating colors such as blue, white, or red. The stainless steel bracelet boasts a sensible rack and push extendable foldover clasp, complete with an additional diver extension, augmenting its utility and comfort for aquatic pursuits. In a further gesture of celebration, a dedicated Paris 2024 collection of NATO straps will be released, providing enthusiasts with an array of options to personalize their cherished timepiece according to their discerning tastes and distinct style.
